Le chanteur anglais Baxter Dury, dans son album Happy Soup, a écrit et interprété une chanson intitulée « Hotel in Brixton »

Je me suis toujours demandé s’il faisait référence à un hôtel en particulier de ce quartier de Londres, et si oui lequel ?

Après une recherche nous avons trouvé sur le site suivant Invisible Virginia  une interview du chanteur qui mentionne :
Hotel In Brixton

Best line : « The lights go on and the lights go off, and the ladies walk and the ladies talk. »
BD : « The Hotel In Brixton is an imaginary place where you get trapped. It’s sort of a prison term. There are a lot of songs on this album about people getting trapped and they all seem to have a seedy romance about them. »

Il s’agit donc d’un hôtel imaginaire.
