Une recherche dans le catalogue de la Bpi avec Jef Geys en sujet n’a rien donné, pas même en interrogation plus large dans tous les index.
Nous avons interrogé la base : Art full text (H.W.Wilson) [ressource internet] qui donne 9 références sur cet artiste.
Il s’agit d’une base de données généraliste, en art, en deux segments: ART FULL TEXT, qui propose le texte intégral de 300 périodiques publiés depuis 1995 et une bibliographique (références et résumés) pour les documents antérieurs, depuis 1984 et ART INDEX RETROSPECTIVE, bibliographie qui couvre les années 1929 à 1984.

Résumé : « Woodward Avenue » an exhibition of work by Jef Geys, was on show at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Detroit, from May 2 to July 25, 2010.
For this show, Geys was commissioned by the museum to investigate the ecology of Detroit. He mapped the unlikely landscapes of the city, focusing on Woodward Avenue, a historic street that cuts across economically depressed neighborhoods that have been hollowed out over the past 30 years. He is not just recounting the symptoms of urbanization, but also showing how modernity has become unsettling, strangely porous, and generic.

The theme of this biennial is “constructing worlds,” something that it is not easy to do (nor is it easy to establish bridges between them).
Accordingly, the problem with the biennial is the lack of focus created by the extreme aesthetic and cultural diversity of the 90 artists on show.
The writer goes on to discuss work by Mark Lewis in the Canadian pavilion and Jef Geys in the Belgian pavilion.

Résumé : A review of the Belgian pavilion at the 53rd Venice Biennale 2009.
This pavilion presents for the first time Jef Geys’s work Quadra Medicinale, which stems from an ambitious research project on the life (and survival) of people and plants in the inhospitable environment of the metropolis.
The results of this study are neatly arranged on the walls of the light-flooded exhibition space accompanied by a special issue of the Kempens Information Journal that the artist produces for each of his presentations.
